After a long while, I have once again stumbled across by blogspot and I shall put out an update. Since my last post I have begun the Geology club at my school, and with any luck by next year I'll have a full fledged club up and running, I already have 70 members, only about 15% of whom are Geoscience majors. I love seeing people realize that the hill they're standing on was a volcano about 700 million years ago. Even the most simple Geology can tell us so much.
Also, during the summer I'm going to be doing field work with the New England Seismic Network with a professor of Seismology at Boston College and working for the Weston Geophysics Observatory. Perhaps I have a future in Seismology, who knows.
But of course, as I delve deeper into the Geology cave it's beginning to branch off, towards a Grad School and eventually a job in the industry. However I appear to be at an impasse, and I don't know what I really want to do. Although lately I have taken quite a shine to Plate Tectonics, Structural and Orogenesis. Hopefully my studies will light the way, they have so far.
